What is this and what is it capable of?
I am always a little sceptical about home treatments because I think it is difficult to achieve a real effect without the supervision of a professional and using highly expensive machinery. In many cases, only a fraction of the promised results is delivered. So I started the anti-wrinkle treatment enthusiastically, but with reservations. All you need to know about the treatment is that it should be done once a week for 15 minutes – I have done two rounds if time allowed. Before starting the treatment, you should clean your face and apply a serum. I used my tried and tested retinol D3 serum and then applied 1–2 mm of the ultrasound gel in the box on top.
How to use the device?
The treatment is very simple, you hold the machine at one point until it starts to vibrate, then you can move on. Each surface should be treated three times in succession. You do not need a medical degree or outstanding dexterity. It can be used at various levels of intensity; obviously, the stronger you set it, the more intense the effect. I turned it up to maximum because I did not experience any discomfort. The machine is warm, but not scalding hot. Actually, the procedure stimulates collagen production, which makes your complexion look more youthful. Once I finished the treatment, I wiped the remaining gel off my face. I also applied a cosmetic collagen cream on my face as a finishing touch. One thing is for sure: I want to have a firmer complexion.
Personal tips
Speaking of facial skin... I was already wondering at the first treatment: where else could I use the device on my body? So I had this idea to try it on the back of my hand and on my knees. You know, these are the areas that get the least amount of wrinkle reduction products and treatments, and as women over 40, we know exactly how revealing a wrinkled back of the hand can be, and how much it can ruin your image with a pretty skirt if you have sagging skin on your knees... So I tried the device on these areas too, and already the first treatment was very effective. I will report back later on how I am doing with these.
But the point is: what changes have I noticed on my face?
I consider myself lucky because for someone who is 43 years old, I do not have that many wrinkles. However, there are still critical areas, and the texture of my skin as a whole is starting to change over time. For example, I had a very strong and deep mimic wrinkle between my eyes, which has been really freaking me out for years because it is more visible than the rest. This wrinkle has also faded a lot, even though I have only been doing the treatment regularly for a month and a half. Overall, I have noticed that my most noticeable wrinkles have faded, but maybe that is not the most noticeable result. Somehow I can feel and see that my whole skin is much fresher and firmer. This in turn has also improved my general appearance and well-being.
