How to Effectively Perform Microneedling Treatments

Before the first use, perform a patch test. This is crucial for maintaining the health and integrity of your skin!

  1. Preparation: Cleanse your skin thoroughly before using the dermaroller. Use the EMS and LED functions tailored to your skin concern. Make sure to use a serum with a water-based consistency, as dry skin may not effectively conduct the microcurrent. The serum also enhances the absorption of the treatment, so if it gets absorbed, replenish it.
  2. Disinfection: It’s recommended to use a skin disinfectant before and after treatment to ensure cleanliness. Sterilize the treatment head (the needles) with 75% alcohol or a surface disinfectant for a few minutes. Always make sure to spray the needles with the disinfectant.
  3. Adjust Settings: Set the microcurrent intensity and select the appropriate LED light for your treatment.
  4. Apply Serum: Apply an active serum to your clean skin and begin the microneedling process (rolling).

Tips for You!

  • After 5-10 treatments, it’s advisable to replace the needles, as they wear out with use and become ineffective. Keep an eye on their lifespan, and replace them once you notice any dullness or wear.
  • Always ensure the cosmetics you are using (serums, cocktails) are suitable for use with the device.
  • To enhance the regeneration process, consider using a mask after the treatment.
  • Microneedling treatments are most effective when done consistently. Regular stimulation encourages the production of growth factors and fresh collagen. One or two treatments won’t bring visible changes. A full course typically consists of 6-8-10 treatments, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. The treatment course should be repeated semi-annually or annually to maintain continuous collagen production.

Aftercare Recommendations:

  • Consume collagen and high-dose Vitamin C after treatment, as Vitamin C is essential for collagen production. It has been clinically proven that 1000mg of Vitamin C daily improves collagen production.
  • After the treatment, your skin may appear red (this depends on how many passes you make over a specific area; initially, limit it to 1-2 passes). This is not a treatment for a date or event day, so avoid applying makeup. Let your skin regenerate.
  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, and excessive sun exposure for 48 hours after the treatment. For the next two weeks, use SPF 50 sunscreen. We recommend no sunbathing for at least one week following microneedling treatments. Laser and IPL treatments are also prohibited.
